About the Role

The role supports the Nucor Rebar Fabrication division by performing machine repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting, and assists the safety team in designing and installing machine guards and safety devices. Safety is the most important aspect of all Nucor jobs, and candidates must be able to lead and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards. • Adhere to Nucor safety programs and OSHA standards • Conduct work consistent with Nucor mission statement • Perform routine maintenance for safe, optimal equipment operation • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and reduce downtime • Develop visual standards, checklists, and inspection routines for first‑level maintenance • Maintain and expand critical spare parts list supporting lean inventory • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to improve safety and efficiency • Create parts lists and labor time estimates for repairs • Train shop teammates on new equipment or modifications • Keep accurate repair records

What You Bring

• Minimum two years’ experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance and repairs • Minimum two years’ experience in electrical maintenance and repairs • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams • Two‑year technical degree from an accredited institution • Training in electrical controls, welding, mobile crane operation, and rigging • Experience installing and programming electrical safety devices • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals • Strong communication skills for coordinating teammates and scheduling maintenance
