Lead archaeological surveys, historic analyses, and project supervision for cultural resource projects.

About the Role
• Perform complex assignments, exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard science techniques and procedures for archaeological and historic structure projects • Make decisions on significant design and scientific procedures, taking responsibility for survey data compilation, assessment, analysis within historic contexts, historic context development, and report writing • Function as Technical Specialist, Field Supervisor or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not sole focus of position • Supervise a group of professionals and technicians as needed

What You Bring
• BS in Engineering, Archaeology, History or related field • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions, such as rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures • Ability to travel with overnight stays for extended periods out of town • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to draft sketch maps of sites and complete field forms accurately and concisely • Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods daily • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Architectural History or closely related field • Minimum of 5 years experience in cultural resource projects • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with project compliance-related activities including consultation, quality assurance and reviews • Willingness to work under varied weather conditions • Familiarity with field study design and documentation, regulatory framework for cultural resource management, and GIS utilities
