About the Role
The Manufacturing Painter applies paint and coating to a variety of manufactured products, ensuring a high‑quality finish that meets industry standards. The role includes surface preparation, selection of appropriate paint materials, application using various techniques, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while collaborating with production teams to meet schedules and quality requirements. The position requires cleaning, sanding, and preparing surfaces for optimal adhesion, repairing defects, masking areas not intended for painting, and selecting paint types and colors based on product specifications. The painter mixes paints to achieve desired consistency, applies coatings with spraying techniques, monitors environmental conditions, and inspects finished surfaces for defects, performing touch‑ups as needed. Equipment maintenance is a core responsibility: cleaning spray guns and paint booths, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and performing minor repairs. Safety protocols are strictly followed, including the use of respirators, gloves, eye protection, and proper disposal of paint waste according to environmental regulations. • Clean, sand, and prep surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion. • Repair surface imperfections before coating. • Mask and protect non‑paint areas. • Select and mix paints to meet product specifications and color consistency. • Apply coatings using appropriate spraying techniques while monitoring humidity and temperature. • Inspect finished surfaces for defects, perform touch‑ups, and ensure a flawless finish. • Perform quality checks to validate compliance with standards. • Maintain and clean painting equipment, troubleshoot issues, and conduct minor repairs. • Follow safety protocols, use protective gear, and dispose of waste per regulations. • Record paint usage, color formulas, and work performed accurately. • Communicate paint requirements and challenges with supervisors and team members.

What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED is required, with six months of experience preferred. Candidates should possess knowledge of paint types, colors, application techniques, familiarity with painting tools, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently or in a team, basic safety awareness, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn new methods. The work environment demands physical stamina, the ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lb, and endure loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, and temperature extremes typical of manufacturing facilities.
