About the Role
The Barback position runs from May 14 to September 30, 2026, supporting the Food & Beverage Service Department. The primary focus is to assist bartenders and F&B leaders with stocking, preparing, and maintaining food and beverage areas, while helping create the distinctive Discovery Land experience for members and guests. • Provide exceptional service and communication with members, guests, and team members. • Greet guests promptly, anticipate needs, and respond with urgency. • Continuously restock bars, restrooms, and comfort stations; maintain inventory records and report usage. • Store delivered items properly and monitor equipment operation, performing minor repairs or keg changes as needed. • Complete opening and closing duties according to established procedures. • Assist the food and beverage team with taking orders, preparing beverages, serving guests, entering POS orders, handling checks, and securing payment. • Adhere to food safety, cleanliness, and overall safety standards.

What You Bring
• Know menu items and cocktail recipes to answer guest questions or prepare orders. • High school diploma or equivalent required. • At least one year of experience in food and beverage, preferably in a fast‑paced, high‑end environment, or related hospitality/customer service experience. • Knowledge of HACCP, local food safety standards, and ability to obtain a State Food Safety Certificate. • Familiarity with wines and beverages. • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; ability to work long hours as needed. • Team player who can stay calm during high‑volume periods. • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. • Physical ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, stand, walk, and lift/carry items over 50 pounds for extended periods. • Flexibility to pivot to new projects and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
