About the Role
The Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical and management support to the Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Integration and Engineering Director within the Missile Defense Agency’s M&S Directorate. This role focuses on integration and engineering activities for missile defense systems, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) and cloud‑based testing. • Prepare, author, and review ad‑hoc briefings for M&S leadership and team leads. • Maintain persistent records of M&S integration work and generate reports, dashboards, and performance summaries. • Coordinate and execute hardware‑in‑the‑loop and cloud‑based testing for missile defense system integration activities. • Contribute to Next Generation Missile Defense planning and assess applicability to the Golden Dome program. • Manage internal task assignments, collection, and reporting using Value Stream Management processes. • Represent the M&S team in engineering meetings, TIMs, and working groups, providing notes and actionable plans. • Support RMIC Mission Risk‑Control Assessment and author performance recognition submissions.

What You Bring
Candidates should possess advanced education, extensive relevant experience, and the appropriate security clearances, along with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams and with executive leadership. • Hold an MS in a STEM field, 12+ years of experience, active DoD Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office. • Desired: active DoD Top‑Secret clearance, MDA experience, familiarity with JIRA, and capability with Power BI or similar dashboard tools.
