About the Role
WSP is initiating a search for a compliance‑focused Environmental Compliance Professional for its Kennesaw, Georgia office. The role involves providing project management and technical assistance for multi‑site and multi‑phased environmental work, including due diligence, compliance, and permitting projects. The professional will develop and manage hazardous and solid waste programs, air emission sources, water and wastewater compliance, and pollution control while ensuring deliverables meet or exceed industry standards. Key responsibilities include delivering EHS compliance and due diligence support such as developing procedures, securing permits, preparing regulatory reports, and conducting site assessments, desktop reviews, and audits. The role requires preparing and supervising SPCC Plans, FRPs, ERAPs, SWPPPs, Phase I assessments, and other regulatory documents, as well as conducting investigations of emission sources, waste facilities, and storage tanks to verify regulatory conformance. Additional duties involve analyzing environmental data, maintaining quality‑control standards, creating data visualizations and technical reports, and developing cost estimates and proposals. • Provide EHS compliance and due diligence support, including permit development and regulatory reporting. • Prepare and supervise SPCC Plans, FRPs, ERAPs, SWPPPs, Phase I assessments, and EHS audits. • Conduct investigations and inspections of air emissions, waste facilities, water treatment plants, and storage tanks for regulatory conformance. • Analyze environmental data, maintain quality control, and produce visualizations and technical reports. • Develop cost estimates and proposals, and manage projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs). • Interact professionally with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients. • Uphold strict QA/QC standards and adhere to workplace safety policies.

What You Bring
The candidate must have EHS and Process Safety Management auditing experience, a bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, industrial, agricultural, or public health engineering, and 7 to 10 years of compliance‑focused environmental engineering experience. A broad understanding of process operations in manufacturing, chemical, utility, or transportation industries, along with knowledge of federal and state regulations such as RCRA, CERCLA, NPDES, TSCA, and OSHA, is required. Strong project management, technical computation, inspection planning, communication, self‑leadership, and the ability to mentor junior staff while adhering to QA/QC and safety policies are essential. • Perform EHS and Process Safety Management audits; hold a relevant engineering bachelor's degree. • Bring 7–10 years of compliance‑focused environmental engineering experience and knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, NPDES, TSCA, and related regulations. • Demonstrate project management, technical computation, and inspection planning capabilities. • Exhibit strong communication, self‑leadership, and ability to mentor junior team members.
