About the Role

The role involves delivering independent valuations across diverse asset classes and portfolios, preparing valuations for acquisitions, disposals, rentals, compulsory acquisition and compensation, and supporting business case development and grant funding submissions. You will conduct market research, analysis, and produce high‑quality reports while managing senior client relationships and responding to requests for proposals. The position also requires reviewing and signing off valuation reports as an authorized valuer, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with other Cushman & Wakefield teams on advisory projects. • Deliver independent valuations for diverse asset classes and portfolios • Prepare valuations for acquisitions, disposals, rentals, compulsory acquisition and compensation • Support business case development and grant funding submissions • Conduct market research, analysis and produce high‑quality reports • Manage senior client relationships and respond to RFPs • Review and sign off valuation reports as an authorized valuer • Mentor and guide junior team members • Collaborate with broader Cushman & Wakefield teams on advisory engagements • Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively

What You Bring

Our Strategic Consulting team in Canberra is seeking an experienced Property Valuer to support the delivery and growth of our valuation advisory capability. This role works across a broad range of real estate and infrastructure assets, advising public and private sector clients on complex valuation matters. It is suitable for candidates operating at Manager or Associate Director level, depending on experience. Candidates must be a Certified Practicing Valuer (CPV) – API or equivalent, with significant valuation experience across multiple asset classes. Strong technical capability, commercial judgement, and excellent written, analytical and communication skills are essential, alongside proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Preference is given to those who hold or can obtain AGSVA security clearance. • Hold Certified Practicing Valuer (CPV) – API or equivalent qualification • Demonstrate strong technical capability, commercial judgement and excellent communication skills • Eligible for or hold AGSVA security clearance
