About the Role
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle on heavy construction project sites. The role involves operating a commercial motor vehicle safely on heavy construction sites while adhering to company policies and applicable regulations. • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, safety concerns, and conduct preventative maintenance; report defects, accidents, or violations. • Ensure safe parcel handling during pickup, transport, and delivery. • Verify accuracy of all job‑related paperwork. • Perform pre‑departure inspections per DOT/Federal Motor Carrier regulations. • Report delays caused by breakdowns, weather, traffic, or loading issues. • Safely deliver freight over long distances, planning efficient routes and meeting delivery schedules. • Inventory loads, document freight condition, and secure cargo before departure. • Assist with loading and unloading freight and monitor its safe distribution during transit. • Log driving hours, rest periods, distances, fuel, repair, and toll expenses. • Adhere to federal and state trucking rules, including mandatory rest periods and weight restrictions.

What You Bring
• Minimum 1 year driving experience; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and ability to pass DOT physical. • Maintain an incident‑free driving record and possess solid knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance. • Demonstrate advanced route‑planning skills using maps and GPS devices. • Exhibit strong organizational and time‑management abilities and work long, irregular hours while staying alert.
