CNG - Diesel Mechanic -Diesel Mechanic - $5000 New Hire Bonus
Maintain and repair diesel/CNG trucks and equipment at WM's shop.

About the Role
You will work at WM’s Gaithersburg, MD hauling site in a repair and maintenance shop, following a consistent schedule that supports work‑life balance and financial security. Each day you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers nationwide, applying modern tools and procedures to maintain both diesel and, at some locations, CNG trucks, requiring high skill and determination. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts, and complete work within Standard Labor Repair Times. • Respond to emergency service calls, perform safety checks, and document parts usage and repair times. • Assist senior mechanics, handle repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, and maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area.

What You Bring
• Minimum two years of relevant mechanical experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and eligibility to work in the United States. • Ability to meet physical demands such as frequent lifting, standing, climbing, and exposure to industrial hazards; must pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical. • Demonstrated teamwork, independent work capability, enjoyment of varied daily challenges, and strong problem‑solving skills.
