About the Role
The Maintenance Technician A works under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to service diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. The role involves repairing chassis components, refuse bodies, air‑brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Technicians enjoy working on a single, technologically advanced fleet, receive training on new equipment, and benefit from a stable shift schedule. • Repair and maintain chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and perform welding/fabrication. • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools. • Complete required company training programs. • Perform on‑site and on‑road maintenance tasks.

What You Bring
Technicians must maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle systems and be capable of performing complex repairs both on‑site and on the road. Responsibilities include chassis repair, refuse‑body control and hydraulic/electrical maintenance, engine work, suspension and drivetrain service, HVAC upkeep, and welding/fabrication. Accurate fault identification using electronic tools and completion of company‑provided training are essential components of the role. Candidates are expected to have at least three years of hands‑on experience with heavy‑duty trucks and the ability to conduct inspections and repairs across a range of systems without direct supervision. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8) and experience with LNG or CNG are advantageous, as is a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license. • Minimum 3 years experience servicing heavy‑duty trucks. • Ability to inspect and repair systems such as suspension, engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions without supervision. • ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8) preferred. • Experience with LNG/CNG systems preferred. • Class B (or higher) commercial driver’s license preferred.
