About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role also includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards and complying with all company, state, and federal regulations while completing daily vehicle condition reports. Drivers perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. They follow designated routes, load and compact refuse, transport it to disposal sites, and accurately document all activities on required reports and productivity sheets. Interaction with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues is conducted professionally, addressing service needs, tagging unsatisfactory containers, monitoring waste for issues, and cleaning any accidental spills while adhering to safety policies. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections (tires, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, controls). • Report safety issues on standard reports. • Operate the collection truck along assigned routes, read route sheets, and follow maps. • Lift, load, and compact waste using manual or automatic controls. • Transport collected material to designated disposal facilities. • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and co‑workers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable material and clean accidental spills following safety standards. • Clean waste from packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and participate in the ReSOP program. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Participate in Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP) and employee discount programs.

What You Bring
The position requires a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement, and strong time‑management, follow‑through, and safety‑focused attitudes.
