What You Bring

Downer’s Energy & Utilities business is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support our Unity Water program. In this role, you will provide essential coordination and administrative support across program and project teams, ensuring smooth delivery of activities, strong governance, and consistent adherence to Downer processes. You will play a key role in maintaining documentation, managing workflows, supporting financial and scheduling activities, and enabling effective collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups. We are looking for someone who can bring structure, organisation and a positive, solutions‑focused mindset to a busy and fast‑paced project environment. The ideal candidate will have more than three years of experience in project coordination or administration, preferably within construction or a medium‑sized project‑based organization, and may hold Business Administration qualifications. Experience using ERP systems such as JDEGS is highly regarded. Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence interacting with a wide range of stakeholders are essential. The role requires highly developed organisational and time‑management capabilities and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. You must be able to work under general supervision, adapt quickly, and manage changing priorities. A proactive ‘can‑do’ attitude with excellent problem‑solving skills is required, as is the ability to make sound decisions and demonstrate initiative. Clear and confident communication across different audiences and a professional, collaborative approach aligned with Downer’s values, Zero Harm, and Build Better Together principles are expected. • Possess 3+ years of project coordination or administration experience, preferably in construction. • Hold Business Administration qualifications (advantageous). • Experience with ERP systems such as JDEGS. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders. • Exhibit highly developed organisational and time‑management skills. • Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities. • Make sound decisions, show initiative, and communicate confidently across audiences.
