About the Role

Key duties involve prioritising safety, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards, and contributing directly to the Engine Build facility to meet customer commitments. The role offers exposure to diverse machinery and a clear career path as skills and qualifications grow. • Perform mechanical fault‑finding, repairs, and maintenance on production assets and ancillary equipment, including machine tools and chemical process lines. • Collaborate with skilled tradesmen, supporting the Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineers to achieve organisational goals. • Follow a rotating shift schedule: 2 weeks day shift (07:15‑15:45), 2 weeks night shift (22:20‑07:35), 2 weeks afternoon shift (15:30‑22:30), averaging 37.5 hours/week with shift premium. • Maintain a safety‑first mindset, ensuring equipment operates to the highest standards and is available for customers. • Contribute directly to the Engine Build facility, delivering on commitments to customers. • Develop expertise across a wide range of equipment with clear career progression opportunities.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent mechanical/maintenance apprenticeship, experience with machine tools such as Okuma, Mazak, DANOBAT, Newall, or DMG, and the ability to work from engineering drawings on safety‑critical equipment. Desirable experience includes steam‑system work, and applicants must hold or obtain a Security Check clearance and be a UK national or MoD‑approved dual national. • Required: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent mechanical/maintenance apprenticeship (essential). • Experience with machine tools such as Okuma, Mazak, DANOBAT, Newall, DMG. • Proven fault‑finding on safety‑critical equipment (machine tools, chemical process lines). • Ability to read engineering drawings and strong understanding of mechanical principles, installation, and maintenance. • Desirable: experience or qualification for steam systems. • Must obtain/hold Security Check clearance; Rolls‑Royce will support application. • Eligibility: UK national or MoD‑approved dual national.
