About the Role

The HazMat Retail Driver Technician operates Class A or B trucks in a less‑than‑truckload capacity, picking up retail, pharmacy, and industrial waste. The role includes sorting, packaging, securing, and transporting waste while maintaining electronic logs and compliance documentation. Key duties involve performing LTL pickups, maintaining company equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and keeping vehicle and manifest logs up to date. The technician conducts DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, processes hazardous and non‑hazardous materials, supports facility housekeeping, and serves as a lab‑pack and field service technician as needed.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems, as well as pumps, motors, controls, instrumentation, and metal fabrication. Candidates should be skilled with hand and shop tools, detail‑oriented, able to prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities; a CDL Hazmat endorsement is preferred. Minimum requirements are a valid Class A commercial driver’s license and the ability to complete a 40‑hour HAZWOPER training program upon hire.
