Construction Materials Internship (Level 1)
Assist in field testing and documentation of construction materials on project sites.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Observe and document field activities related to construction processes. • Sample, test, and inspect soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement. • Perform calculations, reduce test data, and draft reports. • Use field screening equipment and record readings. • Read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans. • Interact and communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers. • Gain confidence to serve as the sole ECS representative on project sites. • Provide suitable transportation for job sites (mileage reimbursed).

What You Bring
• Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. • Ability to carry 40–70 lb repeatedly and occasionally lift 85 lb to waist height.
