About the Role

The Project Controls I role collects and validates financial data to monitor project budgets and progress, supports the preparation of customer billings, and assists in reporting cost commitments and variances. This position develops an understanding of construction accounting and helps implement Henkels & McCoy’s Project Management Methodology. • Collect, review, and validate financial data for project cost measurement, billing, accounts payable, payroll, and equipment utilization. • Maintain accurate project financial records in accordance with company policies. • Prepare and review customer billings to ensure accuracy and contract compliance. • Research and resolve accounts payable and transaction discrepancies with project management, accounting, and vendors. • Monitor project activity for compliance with contracts and internal policies. • Track and report project costs, commitments, and variances under senior guidance. • Document and retain records to support audits and client requirements. • Collaborate with project and operations teams to ensure effective financial controls. • Contribute to a high-performance team by aligning roles, goals, and relationships with company strategy. • Communicate clearly with project team members while maintaining personal accountability.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate professionalism and integrity, fostering trust, accountability, and open communication. • Understand financial tools, general accounting principles, and H&M systems (WOS and PENTA). • Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to interpret data and statistical information. • Proficient in MS Office applications and solid computer skills. • Possess varied problem‑solving abilities. • Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent. • Experience: 0–3 years of directly related work experience.
