About the Role

The Senior Analyst, People Analytics and Reporting leads the intake, planning, communication, and oversight of complex HR data projects for a 43,000‑employee Fortune 300 organization. Using Workday, Snowflake, and Power BI, the analyst turns raw data into actionable insights that guide business decisions. The role also serves as the primary project manager, blending analytical expertise with visualization best practices to deliver ad‑hoc and live analytical solutions. The role’s workload is split into four focus areas: 30 % of time is spent on project calls for intake, progress reviews, troubleshooting, and end‑user training; another 30 % is dedicated to technical development, including Snowflake data connections and dashboard production; 20 % involves analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data; and the final 20 % supports HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence with ad‑hoc requests. Key responsibilities include partnering with executive and operational leaders to design COE‑specific and organizational health dashboards, maintaining data governance and risk management, and responding to ad‑hoc data requests from Workday, Snowflake, and other sources. The analyst standardizes, audits, and cleanses system data, develops reporting metrics, and creates technical specifications, flow diagrams, and prototypes to guide development teams. Communication and analytical skills are essential for translating complex information into clear recommendations and storytelling. • Conduct intake and ongoing project calls to design COE‑specific and organizational health dashboards. • Track performance with agile tools and create software flow diagrams for complex processes. • Ensure data governance and risk management, protecting employee data security. • Fulfill ad‑hoc and recurring data requests from Workday, Snowflake, and other sources. • Standardize, audit, query, and cleanse system data; establish data‑cleanliness governance. • Compile data into flat files, dashboards, and executive briefings; present insights to leadership. • Develop, prioritize, and document report requirements and technical specifications. • Define reporting metrics, calculate formulas, and create test scripts. • Produce technical flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes to guide development. • Write SQL queries to mine data, generate reports, and analyze performance trends. • Build large‑scale SQL queries for research, audit, and complex data analysis. • Lead technical HR projects from intake to training, employing Agile practices. • Build BI solutions using Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or Alteryx. • Report on HR metrics like turnover, time‑to‑hire, absenteeism, and cost of attrition. • Model workflows, data structures, and business processes. • Extract data from Snowflake/Azure via SQL/SAS or advanced Excel (macros, pivots, dashboards). • Craft data stories that help leaders understand people‑focused business issues. • Manage SharePoint sites for collaboration and documentation.
