About the Role
The Shipper/Receiver role ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items, recognizing the impact of accurate and efficient handling on other business functions. Key duties include loading and unloading materials, putting away received items, maintaining shipping paperwork in Sage, scheduling transportation with various carriers, and performing forklift checks and routine equipment maintenance. The role also manages inventory of shipping supplies, sorts and distributes incoming shipments, conducts quality audits, and resolves documentation or delivery discrepancies. The working environment involves natural hazards, manual dexterity for computer use, and adherence to safety policies including protective equipment. Employees may work in cold or hot outdoor conditions, stand, crouch or sit for extended periods, and must lift items over 40 lbs in a fast‑paced setting with occasional overtime. • Load and unload pallets, skids, and platforms manually. • Put away received materials to correct storage locations. • Process shipping paperwork and maintain records in Sage. • Prepare and schedule shipments with carriers and couriers. • Conduct forklift circle checks and routine equipment maintenance. • Manage inventory of shipping supplies and materials. • Sort and distribute incoming shipments to appropriate departments. • Perform quality audits of incoming and outgoing goods. • Ensure shipments include complete documentation and item lists. • Resolve missing documents, shipments, or delivery issues.

What You Bring
Candidates must demonstrate ability to operate material handling equipment, have at least two years of shipping and receiving experience, and be proficient with online shipping platforms such as FedEx, UPS, Purolator and DHL. Strong communication, basic math, time management, attention to detail, and computer skills—particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel—are required.
