About the Role
Scope: Provide construction cost estimating support services for construction contracts located within the Naval Facilities Engineering System Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW) area of responsibility. This is an immediately available, full-time, on-site position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM). • Collect, manage, and analyze data to develop cost estimates, reports, statements of work and other project documentation. • Prepare and administer construction contract modifications, including cost estimate preparation, cost proposal review, negotiation assistance, and modification package assembly. • Review construction cost estimates and provide analysis, comments and recommendations to government and project stakeholders. • Evaluate contractor payment requests, complete monthly pay estimate worksheets, verify as‑built schedules, and recommend retainage or withholding as needed. • Compile supporting data, draft documentation and review deliverables for construction contracts.

What You Bring
Client: NAVFAC NW. Location: Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) – Puget Sound Naval Shipyard • Bremerton, WA. Title: Construction Cost Estimator. Clearance: Ability to successfully clear background and security checks. • Minimum 5 years experience as a cost estimator, cost engineer or project controls specialist on Navy, DoD or other government construction projects; general construction management knowledge required. • Proficiency with construction estimating software such as Costworks, RS Means, Success Estimator, Xactimate, Hard Dollar, Sage/Timberline, Bluebeam or Planswift. • Knowledge of construction quality management systems and the three phases of control is desired. • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English and to present technical findings to government personnel. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field preferred; five additional years of experience may substitute. • Valid driver’s license, U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check and obtain required security clearance.
