About the Role

Key duties include providing technical guidance, supervising design plan and profile production, reviewing deliverables for compliance, developing workflows and templates, and tracking progress against baseline schedules. The engineer will serve as the primary client interface for the discipline, mentor staff, and ensure QA/QC standards are met. • Lead mid‑level, junior engineers and digital staff in stormwater design projects. • Provide technical guidance and supervise production of design plans and profiles. • Review designs for technical compliance and construction clarity. • Develop workflows and templates to streamline repetitive design tasks. • Track task progress against baseline schedules and adjust as needed. • Serve as primary client liaison for engineering discipline matters. • Mentor staff on engineering software, QA/QC practices, and technical skills. • Apply InfoWorks ICM (or equivalent) software to engineering solutions. • Prepare design estimates, support proposal creation, and assess project risks.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (master’s preferred) and has at least eight years of drainage design experience, with professional registration (PE, Peng, or CEng) desirable. Proficiency with InfoWorks ICM or equivalent software, strong communication skills, and deep knowledge of industry codes and regulations are required. Additional strengths include leadership potential, ability to prepare design estimates, support proposal development, and identify risk mitigation strategies.
