About the Role
The role involves safely operating a tractor‑trailer or straight truck with a pup trailer (or any vehicle requiring a Class A CDL) on assigned routes. Drivers must adhere to OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining a clean, safe vehicle. The position requires reliable execution of route duties, container handling, and timely documentation. Work is performed primarily outdoors and in a GPS‑monitored vehicle, exposing drivers to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. Physical responsibilities include frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and handling objects of varying weight. Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. • Operate class A tractor‑trailer or straight truck safely in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip electronic vehicle inspections and promptly report any issues. • Communicate incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to Operations Manager and Dispatch. • Follow route assignments, dump containers, and leave customer sites clean and free of debris. • Position containers to avoid blocking driveways or traffic and handle customer service requests. • Complete all required documentation and check‑in at the end of each route. • Collaborate with Operations Managers and Dispatch to improve route efficiency and address unsafe conditions. • Attend all scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings as directed.
