About the Role

The Field Performance Technician role manages, schedules, and completes all service and warranty work, working both independently and as part of the Performance O&M team. The technician collaborates closely with customers, the Branch Manager, Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team. Key duties include organizing the warranty and service schedule, allocating labor resources, leading training sessions, and regularly exceeding performance KPIs such as turnaround time and dispatches completed. • Organize and lead warranty and service schedules, allocating labor resources as needed. • Conduct training and onboarding for Field Service and Communications Technicians. • Meet or exceed KPIs such as turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatch volume. • Perform inspections, site audits, and assist with other assigned tasks. • Maintain a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and appropriate electrical certifications. • Apply NEC knowledge, interpret single‑line drawings, and ensure code‑compliant PV installations. • Safely transport equipment up to 50 lb (100 lb with assistance) and work on rooftops and ladders in diverse weather conditions.

What You Bring

Candidates need 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience; a high school diploma is required and PV design or electrical experience is preferred. A clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and, where required, an Electrical Journeyman certification are necessary. Essential skills include knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes, strong customer service, excellent communication, organizational and time‑management abilities, and solid computer proficiency. The role demands the ability to read single‑line drawings, understand PV system interconnections, and follow safety policies. Physical requirements involve transporting up to 50 lb frequently (100 lb with assistance), working on rooftops, climbing ladders, and operating in various outdoor weather conditions while using personal protective equipment. • Possess 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience; high school diploma required. • Deliver excellent customer service with strong verbal and written communication. • Demonstrate strong organizational, time‑management, and computer skills.
