About the Role
• Oversee multiple survey projects and ensure adherence to safety standards. • Coordinate with clients, business owners, and public stakeholders to meet permits and schedules. • Operate and maintain surveying instruments; reduce, plot, and analyze survey data. • Conduct field layout, records research, and produce accurate notes, sketches, and reports. • Prepare and submit permit applications (WVDOH, WVDNR, USACE, WVDEP) and obtain rights‑of‑way. • Review project schedules, progress, and deliverables with team members.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering, at least five years of surveying experience, and a West Virginia Professional Surveyor license (or obtain within a year). A valid driver’s license, ability to work outdoors for long hours, and physical capacity to handle equipment and lift up to 50 lb are required. The ideal applicant brings proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation or ESRI software, strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, and is authorized to work in the United States. Travel willingness and ability to pass pre‑employment checks are also expected. • Utilize current survey software; experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or ESRI preferred. • Possess a WV Professional Surveyor license (or obtain within one year) and a valid driver’s license. • Able to work outdoors 8‑12 hours, navigate rough terrain, and lift/carry equipment up to 50 lb. • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, technical documentation, and organizational skills. • Authorized to work in the United States and willing to travel as project demands.
