About the Role

In this role you will lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, design solutions for complex problems, and manage related projects. You will also train and mentor service and contract technicians, maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, audit preventative maintenance procedures, and handle control components such as relay logic, motor starters, and sensors. • Lead and mentor service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Perform preventive maintenance audits and troubleshoot conveyor systems and control components. • Create and close work orders documenting labor hours, maintenance activities, and parts used. • Develop training plans and emergency repair work plans for critical assets. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible scheduling (including weekends, nights, and holidays), and at least three years of preventative maintenance experience. Candidates must also have three years of experience reading blueprints and schematics and two years of work order management. Preferred candidates hold an associate degree or higher in mechanical or electrical fields, possess five or more years working with automated conveyors and controls, and have experience with robotic maintenance, vendor management, and a CMMS. Additional desired experience includes four years of apprenticeship, leadership roles, and familiarity with Material Handling Equipment safety standards. Physical demands include repetitive bending, lifting up to 49 lb, standing and walking for up to 12‑hour shifts, and travel of at least 20 %. Working conditions may involve cramped spaces, dust, fumes, noise, temperature extremes, heights, and handling bulky equipment. • Required: high school diploma, 3+ years preventive maintenance, blueprint reading, and work order management experience. • Preferred: associate degree in mechanical/electrical, 5+ years with automated conveyors, robotic maintenance, vendor management, and CMMS experience. • Physical: lift up to 49 lb, stand/walk 12‑hour shifts, travel ~20 %, work in confined, dusty, or noisy environments.
