About the Role
The Associate Health Principal role guides the direction of the Health sector in the local region as part of HDR’s top‑ranked healthcare team. The position involves building a client base, enhancing the Health Team’s reputation, delivering high‑quality work, growing professional networks, and progressing toward a Health Principal position. Key duties include business development, leading pursuits, managing project teams, and nurturing strong client relationships from pre‑positioning through execution. • Contribute to regional Health sector leadership and vision alongside the local Health Principal. • Help achieve net fees booked goals. • Lead or support capture plans, qualifications and proposals for Health clients. • Design and execute interview strategies. • Manage internal HDR marketing processes (GNG, fee development/approval, risk awareness, data maintenance). • Serve as Project Manager or appropriate role, preparing and negotiating contracts. • Oversee project execution to meet client expectations for quality, finance and schedule. • Proactively engage clients through multiple communication channels. • Mentor and support health staff and project teams. • Develop abstracts and presentations for industry events to promote sector insights. • Cultivate a network of industry partners for intelligence and strategic development. • Participate regularly in local industry organizations.

What You Bring
• Experience or interest in sustainable design/LEED. • PMP certification. • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. • Minimum 7 years of related experience. • At least 2 years of project management experience. • Registered Architect license. • Ability to lead project teams. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project). • Strong planning and mentoring skills.
