About the Role

The Operations Manager • Landfill leads landfill activities within a business unit, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and equipment maintenance policies. This role collaborates closely with the General Manager, Area Manager, Post Collections, and Environmental Manager to develop fill sequencing plans that meet density goals and adhere to permit requirements. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Operations Supervisor, Lead Operators, and labor staff to ensure safe, efficient daily landfill operations, managing hiring, training, performance, and safety issue resolution. The manager develops operational plans, monitors compliance with safety and environmental standards, coordinates equipment maintenance, oversees waste receiving and disposal procedures, and manages relationships with contractors while controlling labor hours and disposal expenses.

The position offers a salary range of $86,200 to $118,600, plus an annual incentive bonus targeting 20% of base compensation.
