About the Role

The Director, Facility Operations for a designated region is responsible for overall operations management, ensuring service delivery obligations are met, adhering to internal and external requirements, achieving budget targets, and maintaining client satisfaction. This role leads Critical Environment and Technical Services, drives business expansion plans, introduces innovations, and continuously improves facility management services while providing people leadership for the Facility Management and Service Delivery teams and dedicated technicians. In the account management function, the director develops and executes expansion plans, engages clients to anticipate needs, contributes to quarterly business reviews, and supports contract renewal and governance activities. They act as the primary escalation point for technical and soft‑service issues, fostering senior‑level client relationships and delivering value‑focused reporting and recommendations. Financial stewardship includes developing the annual operational budget, managing portfolio OPEX, presenting monthly budget reviews, and driving cost‑saving initiatives. The director oversees portfolio management, ensuring service level expectations are met, guiding capital planning, and creating strategic plans that optimize facility performance and profitability. Service delivery responsibilities encompass meeting regional service obligations, maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and building standards, and coaching the delivery team. The role also ensures emergency preparedness, risk management, business continuity, and regulatory compliance are fully integrated into operations. Project management duties require on‑time, on‑budget delivery of facility projects, coordination with internal and client stakeholders, and seamless handover to operations. What You Bring

Candidates must hold a community college diploma in business administration or related field and possess 5‑10 years of facility management experience. Required competencies include account and client relationship management, budget administration, strong communication and negotiation skills, team leadership, vendor management, emergency preparedness, sustainability mindset, and expert knowledge of health, safety, and building standards.
