Software Engineer, Platform Automation

About the Role

Working alongside senior engineers and cross‑functional platform teams, you will focus on reliability, performance, and productivity while leveraging infrastructure‑as‑code and emerging CI/CD innovations. • Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale CI infrastructure across multiple cloud environments. • Build automation and tooling to provision, manage, and operate a fleet of CI servers. • Create shared libraries, pipeline templates, and reusable components to standardize CI workflows. • Integrate CI solutions with container orchestration, artifact management, and deployment systems. • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability to ensure high availability and performance. • Troubleshoot complex build and pipeline issues and optimize CI/CD workflows for development teams. • Contribute to infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and related tools. • Evaluate emerging CI/CD technologies and drive platform evolution.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. • 3–5 years of software development experience in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages. • Experience building or operating CI/CD systems and pipelines. • Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure). • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies. • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, Git version control, and automated testing. • Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills for distributed systems. • Experience managing CI infrastructure at scale, including fleet management and high‑availability configurations. • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Tekton. • Experience with pipeline‑as‑code and config‑as‑code patterns. • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). • Familiarity with artifact repositories such as Artifactory or Nexus. • AWS or Azure certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate). • Experience with observability tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). • Understanding of software supply‑chain security, including SBOM and vulnerability scanning. • Ability to leverage AI‑assisted development tools while ensuring security and quality. • Solid software engineering foundation with clean, testable, and maintainable code. • Experience with distributed systems or platform infrastructure; eager to deepen fleet‑management expertise. • Comfortable working in cloud environments and utilizing cloud‑native services. • Collaborative mindset, eager to learn from senior engineers and partner with development teams. • Effective communicator who documents solutions and shares knowledge. • Proactive owner of work, capable of independent task execution while seeking guidance when needed.
