About the Role
In this role you will lead event program strategy, ensure alignment with Block’s global standards, serve as the primary strategic contact for coordinators, vendors and venue partners, and directly support high‑profile events with senior leadership during peak periods. You will manage and develop the event team through mentoring, day‑to‑day guidance, onboarding, training and providing escalation support when volume is high, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaboration is essential: you will work with Workplace, Facilities, End Experience Services, IT/AV and Operations teams, and partner with Block’s Global Events Lead to promote consistency and scale successful models across sites. The position involves creating and maintaining event documentation, playbooks, SOPs and execution guidelines, identifying improvement opportunities, and establishing performance measurement systems to track metrics and drive continuous improvement. • Lead event program strategy and execution, aligning with Block’s global standards • Serve as primary strategic contact for coordinators, vendors, and venue partners • Support high‑profile events with senior leadership during peak periods • Mentor and coach JLL Events Coordinators, providing day‑to‑day guidance and escalation support • Oversee onboarding, training, and continuous development of the event team • Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with Workplace, Facilities, IT/AV and Operations teams • Partner with Block’s Global Events Lead to ensure consistency and scale successful models • Create and maintain event documentation, playbooks, SOPs and execution guidelines • Identify and implement process improvements through standardization and trend analysis • Establish performance measurement systems, track key metrics and drive continuous improvement • Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver proactive, high‑touch service

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have at least five years of experience in meetings, events, hospitality or workplace environments, with proven leadership in matrixed or client‑facing settings, and experience managing high‑profile or executive‑level events. Strong leadership, coaching, interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, analytical ability, financial acumen, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment. • Minimum 5 years experience in meetings, events, hospitality or workplace environments • Proven leadership in matrixed or client‑facing settings, managing executive‑level events • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and written/verb communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) • Strong analytical, organizational and financial budgeting capabilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to ambiguity and deliver high‑quality results under pressure

Benefits
