About the Role
As a Manufacturing Operator you will set up, operate, and maintain progressive die press machines, auxiliary equipment, saws, assembly tables, specific automated machinery, Cadweld/Flashweld/brazing equipment and other tooling to safely produce quality products according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects strict adherence to safety procedures and the delivery of parts that meet the highest quality standards. You will operate heavy‑duty power equipment to bend, form, stretch and straighten various materials, assist with multi‑slide equipment setups, interpret drawings and work orders, verify material dimensions and configurations, and adjust dies and equipment as needed. Measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges are used to check work‑in‑process, and materials are moved with pallet jacks, lift trucks or cranes when qualified. Safety devices are installed and inspected, and any equipment faults, defective material or unusual conditions are reported to supervisors. • Set up and operate die press machines, saws, assembly tables and automated equipment per blueprint specifications. • Adjust dies, strokes and feeds, and verify material size, type and configuration. • Use micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measurement tools to ensure product specifications. • Move materials with pallet jacks, lift trucks or cranes and install safety devices as required. • Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisors. • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make informed decisions with strong attention to detail. • Follow work instructions, read blueprints and safely operate hand and power tools. • Meet operational deadlines in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment with minimal supervision.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting skills, excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail. They can thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment, meet operational deadlines, and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Experience with manufacturing processes, reading blueprints, hand and power tools, and working in a light‑industrial setting is preferred, along with the ability to lift up to 50 lb and operate lift trucks. • Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lb); lift‑truck operation experience preferred.
