About the Role
Plan, layout and perform all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The employee will also work in other crafts as appropriate to training and skills, following direction from a higher‑skilled worker or foreman. The role involves overseeing pipefitting operations, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment. It requires collaboration with the crew and adherence to quality standards. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time. • Apply high proficiency in all related trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinates' work, ensure accuracy and compliance, explain deficiencies and take corrective action. • Identify opportunities for improvement in tasks, methods and be willing to learn from others. • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively at all times. • Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work. • Read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards; effectively use all trade tools and equipment. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Occasionally use telephone, computer, email or other electronic devices to communicate with customers or vendors. • Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. • Occasionally lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lb.

What You Bring
Candidates must be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards, and effectively use all trade tools and equipment. They must also possess three to six or more years of experience in industrial/commercial construction with deep knowledge of the pipefitter trade. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to wear required protective gear, handle loads, climb structures, and work extended shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. • Have 3‑6+ years of experience in industrial/commercial construction with in‑depth pipefitter trade knowledge (level‑specific). • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment such as steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc. • Frequently reach above shoulder height and below the waist. • Work up to a 12‑hour shift performing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
