Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls; report safety issues. • Safely operate heavy truck along designated routes, reading route sheets and servicing customers as assigned. • Operate manual/automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities. • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely, professional service. • Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures. • Continuously monitor waste for signs of unacceptable material. • Clean areas around accidental waste spills following safety standards and policies. • Continuously monitor vehicle condition to maintain operational readiness and clean waste from containers each trip. • Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other documentation. • Maintain productivity standards to service all customers efficiently and timely. • Follow all required safety policies and procedures. • Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program. • Adhere to company policies and promote safety standards without taking inappropriate risks. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Participate in short‑ and long‑term disability plans. • Utilize the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP). • Participate in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).

What You Bring
A Driver – CDL (A) safely operates a heavy commercial truck, tractor‑trailer, or straight truck with a pup trailer to deliver and remove large containers. The driver ensures the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adheres to all state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. • Demonstrate good customer service skills, professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness. • Exhibit strong time management to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely. • Show good follow‑through, adhering to schedules and handling challenges. • Preferably have two years of commercial truck driving experience. • Possess mechanical aptitude for performing minor container repairs. • Hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement.
