About the Role

You will conduct testing and consulting services for the built environment, including property condition assessments, specialized testing, building envelope consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and repair design, among other facilities‑related services. Project management responsibilities include inspections of building enclosures, building envelope testing and assessments, air‑leakage testing, construction quality‑assurance observations, roofing assessments, design‑specification review, field performance testing, and building enclosure commissioning consulting. You will lead field investigations, perform analysis and calculations, develop design recommendations, prepare and review reports, maintain a client database, manage project budgets and invoicing, and mentor staff. Demonstrating responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self‑motivation is essential, as is promoting a safe workplace and proper PPE use. • Conduct building enclosure inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning. • Perform property condition assessments, specialized testing, and forensic investigations. • Provide building envelope consulting and repair design services. • Manage project tasks such as air‑leakage testing, construction QA observations, roofing assessments, design‑spec review, field performance testing, and commissioning consulting. • Lead field investigations, analysis, calculations, recommendations, and report preparation. • Maintain client database, manage project budgets, and prepare invoices. • Mentor and support development of other staff members. • Promote workplace safety and ensure proper use of PPE.

What You Bring

ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Enclosure Associate III to join the Pacific Facilities team in Irvine, CA. In this role you will work on projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients. Qualified candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED; a B.Arch, M.Arch, or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or a related field is preferred. They should possess 2‑5+ years of building enclosure consulting experience (or equivalent), knowledge of building codes, materials, investigation methods, and testing principles, strong marketing and business‑development skills, confident project‑management abilities, proven mentoring experience, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office is required; AutoCAD and Revit experience is a plus. The expected salary range is $100,000‑$130,000 per year. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; B.Arch, M.Arch, or BS in Engineering/Building Science preferred. • Possess 2‑5+ years of building enclosure consulting experience or equivalent. • Know building codes, materials, field investigation methods, and testing principles. • Demonstrate strong marketing, business‑development, and project‑management skills. • Exhibit proven mentoring experience and excellent oral/written communication. • Proficient with MS Office; AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.
