About the Role
Key duties include organizing and leading the warranty and service schedule, coordinating labor with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager, and leading regular meetings to align the local field service team on best practices. The technician supports onboarding and training of new team members, consistently exceeds KPI targets such as turnaround time and dispatches completed, and assists with inspections and site audits as assigned. • Lead and maintain warranty and service schedules, allocating labor with foreman and manager. • Train and develop Field Service and Communications Technicians, conducting regular team meetings. • Perform advanced troubleshooting, inspections, and site audits for solar installations. • Adhere to safety policies, work on rooftops, lift up to 100 lb, and operate in varied weather conditions.

What You Bring
The Field Performance Technician 3 performs advanced troubleshooting and complex service diagnostics, and also trains and develops other Field Performance team members. The role requires a valid electrical certification according to state regulations. Candidates must have at least three years of field construction experience, including one year as a solar service technician, and a high school diploma; PV design or electrical experience is preferred. A valid Journeyman or equivalent electrician license is required. Essential skills encompass knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes, the ability to interpret single‑line drawings and PV systems, strong customer service, verbal and written communication, organizational and time‑management abilities, and proficiency with computers. Safety adherence, problem‑solving, and teamwork are also critical. The position demands physical capabilities such as lifting up to 50 lb regularly (up to 100 lb with assistance), working on rooftops, climbing ladders, and operating in diverse weather conditions. Workers must also be able to navigate confined spaces, use fine motor skills, and follow safety protocols with personal protective equipment. • Achieve or exceed KPIs such as turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatches completed. • Hold a valid Journeyman/Electrician license and 3+ years field construction experience, including 1 year solar service. • Demonstrate knowledge of NEC codes, PV system design, and ability to read single‑line drawings. • Exhibit strong customer service, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
