About the Role
• Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to locate wiring before walls, ceilings, and flooring are finished. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble electrical conduit using hand tools. • Pull wiring through conduit with assistance. • Strip insulation, splice, solder, and secure wires with tape or terminal caps. • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment. • Install and secure switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and other control/distribution apparatus. • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads. • Test circuit continuity with ohmmeter, battery, buzzer, or oscilloscope to ensure safety. • Observe installed equipment to identify hazards, adjustments, or replacements. • Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems. • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and supplies. • Maintain tools and equipment. • Apply procedures such as lockout/tagout (LOTO). • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. • Use personal judgment to rate information against measurable standards. • Perform rapid and accurate arithmetic operations. • Visualize 3‑D objects and drawings in detail.

What You Bring
The position requires a Certified Journeyman with NCCER certifications, either written or practical. Responsibilities include planning, laying out, installing, and repairing wiring, conduit, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. Candidates may need a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience. The role relies on standard concepts, practices, and procedures, following instructions and guidelines under immediate supervision, typically reporting to a supervisor or manager. Physical demands involve standing (65%), walking (15%), and sitting (20%), with the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30‑70 lb‑ft. Workers must climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and finger tools at varying frequencies. • Distinguish wire colors accurately.
