About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to plan and prepare work packages for the Clean Energy Center (CEC) maintenance teams, ensuring work is performed safely, reliably, and efficiently in accordance with quality, policy, and code requirements. Key duties include creating work instructions for corrective and preventive maintenance, selecting and approving purchases, and conducting field walkdowns to identify and refine maintenance activities. The role requires collaboration with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve package issues and define necessary procedures, drawings, equipment, and permits such as OOS, RWP, and ALARA task outs. The position also involves verifying that work instructions meet CEC procedures, nuclear safeguards, and applicable codes (e.g., ASME, 10CFR50.59), reviewing and approving packages for safety and technical rigor, and developing or updating maintenance procedures to support compliance. Additional responsibilities include providing project management for system planners or contractors, participating in scheduling and risk review meetings, and supporting emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as needed. • Plan and prepare work packages for corrective, preventive, and surveillance maintenance at the Clean Energy Center. • Develop work instructions, procure materials, and obtain necessary permits and approvals. • Conduct field walkdowns to identify maintenance needs and improve work package quality. • Collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve package issues. • Ensure compliance with QA manuals, ASME code, 10CFR50.59, and nuclear safety protocols. • Review and approve maintenance procedures, risk assessments, and regulatory documentation. • Provide project management for system planners and contractors in package development. • Participate in scheduling, risk, and peer‑review meetings to support safe and efficient operations. • Maintain required access clearances and undergo medical examinations as needed.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience, or a Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 3 years, or a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience, plus required access clearances and medical examinations. Preferred qualifications include 5 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations. • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s (2 yr experience) or Senior Reactor Operator (2 yr), Associate’s (3 yr), or High School/GED (4 yr). • Preferred: 5 years of nuclear power plant operations experience.
