BIM/ CAD Technician (Roads)

About the Role

• Collaborate with Roads Digital Design & Delivery Lead, Engineering Leads, and Senior Drafter to ensure project compliance and timely completion. • Develop engineering drawings (arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details) from sketches or design data per standards. • Manage BIM modeling activities throughout the project lifecycle. • Review drawings for readability, presentation, and adherence to QA/QC standards. • Create parametric and non‑parametric families and ensure LOD compliance. • Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve model coordination issues. • Perform clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks and generate clash reports. • Produce schedules and quantity takeoffs from the BIM model.

What You Bring

We are seeking a skilled BIM/CAD Technician for our Roads team in Dubai, UAE. The role involves delivering drafting assignments for highway design packages, supporting design activities, and ensuring compliance with project policies and standards. • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of CAD drafting experience in roads/highways, including road signs, markings, and traffic studies, within MEA/UAE. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation. • Experience with ProjectWise and BIM360/ACC as common data environments. • Strong BIM knowledge, including LOD requirements and processes. • Excellent English communication skills. • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and OpenRoads (preferred). • Proficiency in Navisworks (desirable).
