About the Role

The Trainer delivers, assesses, and coaches designated training curricula based on organizational needs identified by leadership and training teams. The role includes completing final evaluations and conducting coaching sessions to determine participants' performance ratings. This is a non‑union position. Key duties involve modeling professional behavior, reporting schedules, attendance, and observations to the Training Coordinator, and delivering curricula using adult and accelerated learning techniques. The trainer uses observation and feedback to improve trainee performance during classroom exercises, provides final evaluations, and conducts coaching sessions at the end of training. Additional responsibilities include staying current on training procedures, communicating with other driver trainers and field managers, and performing other assigned tasks. • Model professional behavior and set expectations for trainees. • Report schedule, attendance, and observations to the Training Coordinator. • Deliver curricula using adult and accelerated learning techniques. • Observe trainees and provide feedback to improve performance during exercises. • Complete final evaluations and conduct final coaching sessions. • Maintain knowledge of training and company procedures through professional reading. • Communicate with other driver trainers and field managers about training needs. • Work involves office tasks and on‑site training, often outdoors with noise and weather exposure.

What You Bring

Candidates must have an Associate’s degree (or a high school diploma/GED with two years of work experience) and at least one year of driving experience in the trucking industry. A DZ or higher commercial driver’s license is preferred, and required skills include Microsoft Windows proficiency, presentation and facilitation abilities, feedback and coaching skills, strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities, and bilingual fluency in French and English. The position requires fine motor coordination, occasional lifting of objects under 30 pounds, and exposure to occasional minor physical risks. Work is performed in both office settings and on‑site training courses, often outdoors with noise, dirt, odors, and weather extremes.
