About the Role
In the Material Handler position you will receive and issue raw materials, assemblies, sub‑assemblies, tools, and supplies, forward necessary paperwork for data entry, assist planners and buyers on material availability, and box, pack, and ship finished products and raw materials as appropriate. You will use a variety of material‑handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load trucks and place material in the correct bin locations or deliver it to work centers. You will proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root‑cause analysis when quality or production issues arise. You will be responsible for quality, conducting visual inspections of material before shipping, identifying non‑conforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. You will cross‑train and stand in for other employees or job functions when necessary. You will use supply‑chain tracking systems to maintain inventory. What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution is required. You must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered, although active‑duty military service members are exempt from the geographical limitation. Minimum three months of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment, three months operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift), and three months using hand and air tools are required. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills are essential.
