About the Role

The Regional Consulting Sales Engineer provides pre‑sales technical support to the engineering community, sales teams, and customers, translating client requirements into effective design solutions. This role combines deep technical knowledge with sales acumen and strong communication skills to position Automated Logic as the basis of design. The engineer also supports sales colleagues, delivers customer and engineering training, and contributes to marketing initiatives while maintaining consistent, accurate, and professional service. • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions. • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations showcasing features, benefits, and advantages. • Create and deliver technical proposals and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales process, answering questions and resolving issues. • Engage engineering customers to gather requirements, assess needs, and position Automated Logic as the design basis. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships for long‑term partnership. • Work with engineering and product teams to ensure solution feasibility and customer expectations. • Stay current on industry trends, product developments, and competitive landscape. • Relay customer insights to product management and development teams.

What You Bring

Travel is required for up to 75 % of the time, primarily within the local region, to meet customers and partners on site. The position reports to the regional sales leadership and works closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to align solutions with market demands. • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years experience in building automation systems, or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years experience. • Willingness to travel up to 75% locally. • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering (preferred). • BAS or controls experience in consulting engineering (preferred). • 3+ years design experience with BAS systems (preferred). • 10+ years experience developing and engineering building automation systems (preferred). • CEM, LEED AP, WELL AP accreditation or PE certification (preferred). • Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, building systems, and IT networking/integration (preferred). • Ability to work in a fast‑moving engineering design team (preferred).

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $96,000 to $168,000 and includes eligibility for short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
