About the Role
• Design and complete assigned projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. • Perform daily hydraulic project design. • Assist with field surveys for hydraulic projects. • Lead and mentor junior Water Resources staff. • Manage QA/QC processes. • Compile project scope and fees. • Monitor project finances bi‑weekly. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Maintain excellent communication with clients.

What You Bring
The position is primarily office‑based with occasional exposure to field conditions. Work involves repetitive finger motions such as typing and grasping, and requires visual acuity for computer work, as well as the ability to sit for extended periods. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with reasonable accommodations provided when needed. • Work independently and in small groups. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • North Carolina PE license or ability to obtain within one year. • Minimum 10 years of hydraulic engineering experience. • Proficiency in FEMA Flood Studies. • Proficiency with MicroStation and GEOPAK Drainage/ORD. • Experience with NCDOT and municipal drainage and erosion control design. • Familiarity with stormwater BMP design. • Willingness to travel occasionally. • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
