About the Role

The role supports Chief Engineers by delivering leadership and technical oversight to geotechnical staff and project managers across the region. Responsibilities include project oversight, technical report reviews, client development, and serving as primary client contact when needed. The incumbent will also keep personnel informed of regulatory changes, act as a public‑relations ambassador, and participate in review committees and mentoring activities. Attendance at national industry conferences is required. • Lead and provide technical oversight to regional geotechnical teams and project managers. • Review project plans and technical reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Identify and develop new client opportunities, author proposals, and serve as primary client liaison. • Communicate regulatory updates to staff and manage internal information flow. • Represent the company publicly, promoting capabilities at conferences and industry events. • Mentor associate principals and other staff, participating in review committees for promotions. • Assist in recruiting and maintaining technical proficiency of geotechnical personnel.

What You Bring

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology or a related field, and at least 20 years of relevant experience. A Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist license in the relevant state(s) and a senior reviewer designation are mandatory. A valid driver’s license is required for driving on behalf of the company, and compensation is approximately $180,000 per year, subject to location and qualifications. • Hold a BS/MS in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related field with 20+ years experience. • Possess a PE or PG license in the relevant state(s) and senior reviewer designation. • Maintain a valid driver’s license for company travel.
