About the Role

In this role, you’ll develop and manage project and program schedules, lead Earned Value Assessments, ensure schedule compliance with contractual conditions, and help shape planning processes that enable teams to deliver with confidence. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, commercial partners and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and offering trusted guidance as you help teams stay aligned, informed, and on track. As the senior planning expert, you’ll play a meaningful role in driving improvements, uplifting capability, and contributing to the success of major infrastructure projects. • Develop and manage project and program schedules • Lead Earned Value Assessments and ensure schedule compliance with contractual conditions • Shape planning processes to enable confident delivery • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, commercial partners and external stakeholders • Provide guidance to keep teams aligned, informed and on track • Drive improvements and uplift capability across major infrastructure projects • Build constructive relationships, negotiate timelines and communicate insights clearly • Apply strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills autonomously and collaboratively • Mentor and guide teams with a passion for continuous improvement • Manage downstream and upstream requirements in a contractor project delivery environment • Deliver ongoing training, workplace mentoring and support for tertiary education

What You Bring
The ideal candidate will be an experienced planner who brings strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach. This role can be based from Sydney or Newcastle. • Deep experience in project planning, earned value and schedule risk analysis within capital‑intensive environments • Strong capability with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project across programs or portfolios
