About the Role
The Superintendent leads the company’s safety culture, manages subcontractors, staff, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for small projects or large portions of bigger projects. Responsibilities include developing work plans, coordinating site control, running daily stand‑ups and weekly trade meetings, creating and adjusting schedules, tracking budgets, communicating with owners and design teams, overseeing documentation, approving cost information, managing materials and equipment, supporting procurement processes, ensuring quality compliance, and supervising project close‑out activities. • Lead safety initiatives and mentor staff to maintain an injury‑free environment. • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite programs (Safety, Quality, EEO). • Develop and oversee work plans, site control, and daily/weekly coordination meetings. • Create, adjust, and monitor project schedules in partnership with the Project Manager. • Track project budget and costs using the project management system. • Communicate project information to owners, design teams, authorities, and vendors. • Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, logs, and inspection records. • Approve unit cost data, generate weekly and daily reports, and monitor progress. • Coordinate material and equipment procurement, supporting MOC and DLSC processes. • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC standards, and inspections. • Supervise pre‑punch activities and manage project close‑out with stakeholders. • Participate in project pre‑planning, staffing, change negotiations, and buy‑out meetings. • Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.

What You Bring
Key knowledge, skills, and abilities include accurate and timely work performance, strong verbal and written communication, effective presentation skills, intermediate proficiency in MS Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling tools, and JE Dunn construction technology. The role also requires an understanding of construction management fundamentals, Lean processes, specific trades, self‑perform labor productivity, budgeting, relationship building, and basic layout, crane flagging, and rigging. Education requirements are a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of construction experience and one year of field supervision experience. The working environment may require lifting up to 50 lb, travel or relocation, exposure to extreme temperatures, and non‑traditional hours. Physical activities include frequent standing, walking, climbing, and occasional computer work.
