About the Role

The supervisor is accountable for health, safety, and environmental matters during the shift, including incident investigations and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. They also track departmental KPIs and propose improvements to boost operational performance. Workforce management aligns with customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles, incorporating continuous improvement activities. The role includes managing attendance, handling personnel issues, and maintaining up‑to‑date standard work documentation. Regular audits and coaching are used to maintain process consistency, while training needs are identified and recorded through the company’s training matrix. The supervisor ensures all training is properly documented and signed off. Quality objectives are driven by performing PPS activities and root‑cause analyses for premium freight, scrap, or inventory losses. The position supports engineering changes, production trials, and contributes to formal customer proposals in collaboration with the Solutions team. Working closely with senior management, the supervisor helps shape the organization’s vision, operational strategy, and workforce planning, translating these into actionable steps across the business. • Lead on‑shift Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions. • Ensure all staff follow safe working practices and site H&S procedures. • Identify and execute corrective actions and process improvements to meet departmental KPIs. • Represent the department in internal and external customer meetings and communicate shift performance. • Manage workforce resources to meet customer delivery needs while applying Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives. • Control absenteeism, handle personnel matters on shift per company policy, and maintain accurate Standard Work documentation. • Audit employee performance, coach staff, and enforce zero‑tolerance for process deviations. • Assess training needs, coordinate training using the company matrix, and ensure proper documentation and sign‑off. • Drive quality objectives through PPS activities and root cause analysis for freight, scrap, or stock losses. • Support production with engineering changes, trials, model updates, and pilot builds. • Assist in developing customer proposals, including process flow diagrams, KPIs, and facility layouts with the Solutions team. • Collaborate with senior management to shape operations strategy, workforce planning, and translate vision into actionable steps. • Supervise operations and productivity while fostering an inclusive culture, effective onboarding, development, and retention.

What You Bring
