Additional duties involve estimating budgets and schedules, managing project teams, developing design procedures, and preparing technical specifications. • Lead engineering on mid‑to large‑scale highway and roadway projects. • Develop and pursue business opportunities with INDOT and local agencies. • Prepare and deliver proposals for alternative delivery projects. • Provide specialized technical input and approve design work and specifications. • Present complex technical solutions to clients. • Conduct quality‑control reviews of staff work and design calculations. • Estimate engineering budgets and schedules for large projects. • Manage project teams and oversee all phases of PA/ED and PS&E packages. • Develop study and design procedures to ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality outcomes. • Mentor and manage staff, fostering strong people‑management practices. • Maintain professional engineer licensure in Indiana (or obtain within six months). • Lead project management for transportation projects using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and Civil 3D.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Transportation Engineering for our Indianapolis office. The role requires an established civil‑engineering career focused on intersection, roadway, highway, pavement, drainage, utility coordination, and construction document preparation. The successful candidate will lead major pursuits and deliver large‑scale transportation infrastructure programs on time and within budget. Candidates must hold a BA/BS and at least ten years of relevant experience, including two years in a leadership role. Preferred qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree, an Indiana Professional Engineer license (or ability to obtain within six months), and proven project‑management experience on transportation projects. Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D, along with strong business‑development skills and established relationships with INDOT, are essential. • Leverage 10+ years of relationships with INDOT and Indiana counties for business development.
