About the Role

We are seeking a Supervising Mechanical Engineer – CF to join our New York office, where you will represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members while supervising and coordinating project work. As the Engineer of Record, you will lead coordination meetings, supervise staff, conduct employee evaluations, and manage budgeting, scheduling, and project contracts. You will also establish design standards, oversee construction administration, coordinate invoicing, and ensure clear communication among all stakeholders. • Serve as Engineer of Record on dedicated projects • Lead and supervise coordination meetings • Supervise staff, assign tasks, and conduct employee evaluations • Assist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer with training and mentoring • Coordinate and assign system design and project engineering work • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria • Manage construction administration, including field reports, RFIs, bulletins, and addenda • Coordinate with accounting to prepare invoices and monitor receivables • Oversee all project correspondence with clients, contractors, and owners • Participate in firmwide Expert Teams committee • Contribute to budgeting, scheduling, and staff management • Prepare proposals and administer project contracts and service agreements • Supervise preparation of analysis and reports of system options and building conditions

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a current PE license, possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and have at least 12 years of consulting experience, including three years of supervisory responsibility. Desired expertise includes healthcare design, critical facilities or data center projects, hands‑on CAD/Revit work, and experience with commercial, aviation, or mission‑critical facilities. • Hold current PE licensure and Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering • 12+ years consulting experience with 3+ years supervisory responsibility • Healthcare design experience and background in critical facilities, commercial, or aviation projects • Hands‑on CAD/Revit design expertise • Experience with large‑scale critical facilities or data centers
