About the Role
Key duties include designing desk studies, conducting field investigations, performing risk assessments and delivering remediation solutions, as well as procuring laboratory analysis and drafting technical reports. You will coordinate and supervise subcontractors, collect soil and groundwater samples, and translate data into conceptual models for human health and environmental risk assessments. • Design and conduct desk studies, site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation solutions. • Procure and manage laboratory analysis, analyze data, and produce factual and interpretative reports. • Coordinate and supervise field service and laboratory subcontractors, collecting soil and groundwater samples across sites in Ireland, the UK, and overseas. • Compile and interpret field and analytical data into conceptual models to inform human health and environmental risk assessments. • Champion health and safety practices throughout project lifecycles. • Apply AECOM’s environmental protection and sustainability principles within SGR services. • Participate in a mentor‑led onboarding and the 2‑year Graduate ADVANCE development programme.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold a degree in environmental engineering, geology, hydrology or related fields, with a MSc preferred and a keen interest in contaminated land. Required skills include knowledge of geological concepts, chemistry, MS Office proficiency, willingness to work outdoors, travel flexibility, strong communication, report writing, numeracy, commercial awareness and a proactive, detail‑oriented attitude. Applicants must have the permanent right to work in Ireland, submit a covering letter with academic grades and can apply early as recruitment proceeds on a rolling basis.
