About the Role

The Site Civil Engineer role contributes to HDR’s mission by designing and managing civil engineering projects that shape communities and improve lives. Through design, planning, and project leadership, the engineer helps deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions. • Design and plan civil projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, paving, and utilities. • Perform quantity calculations and prepare specifications and contract documents. • Execute complex engineering assignments, selecting and modifying standard techniques. • Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures. • Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed. • Supervise a small team of professionals and technicians.

What You Bring

• Minimum three years of general civil engineering experience. • Proficient with CAD civil software (Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Autodesk Civil 3D) and specialty platforms. • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering. • Possess a Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. • Demonstrated leadership and strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
