About the Role
As the Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams on civil engineering projects from concept to completion, reporting to the Head of Design Management. You will oversee design delivery, ensure compliance with Australian standards, and work closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to innovation and quality, encompassing responsibilities such as managing internal and external teams, reviewing designs for safety and compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation. • Lead and motivate multidisciplinary internal and external design teams. • Oversee design delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with Australian standards. • Review and approve designs for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. • Collaborate with clients to confirm requirements and manage expectations. • Identify design risks early and implement mitigation strategies. • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure legislative compliance. • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across design processes.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field, have proven experience on large‑scale civil projects, and possess expertise in water, energy, or transition line design.
